MP55S

A graphite combustion modified flexible polyether polyurethane foam which has been specially designed for use in aircraft seating.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Physical properties are measured using test methods described in the
BS4443 series and BS EN ISO 845:1995.

Nominal piece density range  53-58 kg/m3

Nominal hardness range   70-100 N

Nominal CLD Hardness (40%)  1.9-3.0 kPa

Nominal tensile strength   60 kPa min.

Nominal elongation at break  100% min.

FLAMMABILITY CHARACTERISTICS
Capable of meeting the following requirements :
1. ATS-1000.001/ABD 0031 Airbus Industrie technical specification
regarding smoke and toxicity.
2. FAR 25.853 (a) Amendment 25-72 Part 1, Appendix F –
Vertical burn test.
3. FAR 25.853 (c) Amendment 25-72 Part 2, Appendix F –
Kerosene burn test.

Meets the requirement of a maximum weight loss of 10% when used in
combination with higher density MP or DAX grades and a typical 90/10[90% Wool/ 10% Polyamide] cover.

N.B. MP55S is capable of meeting the 10% maximum weight loss without a
cover.
